Erica Trivett

Owner, Fairview Osteopathy

Osteopathic Practitioner & Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner & ELDOA™ - level 3

I help people with their bodies — through manual therapeutic touch and movement education grounded in anatomy and human developmental patterns. Understanding how the body is formed and how it adapts gives profound insight into why people hurt — and how to help.

I want people to live their lives more fully, feel more connected to their bodies, and have less pain. And I want to give them tools they can actually use: for self-regulation, health management, and aging with grace and agency.

My path into body work began long before my clinic. I trained as a classical ballet dancer and performed internationally for over 30 years. I’ve been teaching movement since I was young — and that foundation, deeply practical and deeply embodied, shapes everything about how I work with clients today.

I studied the Feldenkrais Method® in Paris from 2001–2006 and hold Level 1/2 and 3 certifications in ELDOA™. I founded Fairview Osteopathy in 2020 after completing my osteopathy training at the Canadian School of Osteopathy Manual Practice — where I won the Coup de Coeur award for my thesis on manual osteopathy and olfactory dysfunction. Right now, my continuing education is focused on embryology.

When I’m not in the clinic or the classroom, you’ll find me in the garden, on a ski hill, casting a line, or happily being an aunt.

I use a range of approaches in Osteopathic Manual Treatment from cranial sacral therapy and other techniques such as strain counter strain, muscle energy, mechanical link, visceral manipulation and fascial release to help people with dysfunction and pain.

Marla Love

ELDOA™ - level 4 & Somatic Practitioner

Movement has been an integral part of Marla’s life since childhood. After high school, Marla dedicated the first years of her professional life to studying classical ballet at the school of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Later performing and traveling around the world with Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, then with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. In 1998 upon returning to Canada she began her yoga studies, and discovered a passion for healing, restoring and relaxing through movement and breath. While studying and teaching she completed over 12 yoga certifications in various styles from restorative practices to more vigorous Ashtanga.

After recognizing her passion for helping people destress and feel free in their bodies, Marla continued to study so that she could empower her clients with more effective tools to stay healthy.   She dove into Dynamic Anatomy and the science of imagery with Eric Franklin in 2009 and became a Level 1 Franklin Method Educator. She followed this with several years of Pilates training, and internship with Dianne Miller. To complement her extensive experience in Pilates, in 2017 Marla began studying the ELDOA™ method. She has since achieved the status of Level 4 ELDOA™ Trainer, and most recently became a Buteyko Breath Educator after lengthy study with Cris Bauman. Marla has developed a massive toolbox for movement and breath!

With over 25 years of experience, and a passion for helping her clients move better, Marla is a lifelong learner and continues to evolve and grow as a teacher. She teaches in a way that lays out an education, thus empowering her clients and students to achieve a level of self care that approaches mastery. In her free time, Marla loves to cook for her family, and indulges in her latest culinary passion of creating variations on lemon sorbet. She also enjoys spending time in nature, swimming, hiking and getting away on short trips.
